Safety… the Same & yet Unique

StoneMy husband was the first state archaeologist for Utah and we often visit ancient Native American sites he knows and often recorded in the four corners area. When I look at these petroglyphs at the Sand Island, Utah site, I wonder what the figures represent and the stories they tell.  When and how did these people feel safe?  My thought is that basic safety is the same for all of us. It is a feeling of being somewhat in control of what is happening around us and to those for whom we care. When we know the stories and what is beneath them we can discover what is unique in this desire for each of us.
