No Whining

whineFaced with a consequence, our choice may be different!  If we truly paid a fee, how might that diminish our whining?  Whining is defined as “complaining usually in a long, high pitched cry or sound”.  Is it the length or pitch or volume that makes it so annoying?  Or is it more likely the underlying reason for the whine?  Think about your most recent “whine”, I would offer that is was likely the result of feeling victimized, ignored or treated unfairly.  When you sort through your response, what do you notice?  How do you want your response to change in the future?  What happens when you see the “gift” in a situation?  Remember, it’s not the event that matters, it’s our response to it … we get to choose.
